Kawena clapped the black stallion she was riding on the neck and looked on the forest that was surrounding them. There was a path they were riding on, she had been her many times before and she knew that he was used to jump so any trees that was blocking the path it should be no problem to get past it.
She had to admit that she had missed this, she had not been on a horseback since she had been a part of the riding team on Arcane. And it was a nice way to forget everything that bothered her for a time and she felt a freedom that she did not feel anywhere else. And when he jumped, it was like she was flying.
"Ready Storm?"
She had the feeling that he was able to understand her. Her eyes fell down on Konane that was standing beside them, waiting for them to start running again. Kawena smiled and soon they was galloping along the path. Laughter came out of her mouth, this was wonderful.

Nicholai walked through his usual trail into the forest. It was his way of escaping from everyday life. He needed to clear his mind, letting the sounds of nature sooth him. The forest itself felt haunting with its bare branches reaching out and the blanket of snow that kept what was beneath hidden. It was almost too familiar. Nicholai had reached an old tree that led to two different paths, never before had he arrived at this crossing.
He stood there contemplating which to take. A breeze swiftly spun the remaining leaves, like something or someone was giving him a sign. Nicholai watched curiously, noticing the leaves dance then float away. He dug his hands into his coat pockets and took the unknown path. It represented the journey that he had to take, physically and spiritually. Ryder glided in the sky then swooped down, flying beside him.
"We've got company." he cryptically said.
Nicholai narrowed his eyes at the crow.
"For once, I wish you'd just come out with it." he replied in an impatient tone.
"I could, but it's more fun to see the look on your face when you find out."
Nicholai just shook his head as he continued on.

Kawena smiled when she felt how Stormy's muscles moved to keep up the speed they was moving in. The sound of his hoofs when they hit the path was relaxing and in this moment it was like the time stood still. Bless moment like this, without them she had gone insane long time ago.
Stormy led them safe over a tree that was blocking the path before he landed safely on the other side, birds filled the air perhaps they had been scared by the sound of the stallions hoofs, it did sound like distant thunder.
They galloped a little longer before he started to trot down the path. She made him slow down when she saw a figure in the distance. She was not the only one that used this path. Then Konane started to run towards the figure, it was tempting to yell that he had to get back but instead she moved after him. If it were a human she would have been forced to explain if he/she heard her yell.
A feeling made her look up in the sky, was that a raven? She could be wrong but a small smile was playing on her lips and she moved towards the person. When they got closer she did recognize who it was. It was Nicholai. She had not seen him after the night in the bar and it was nice to see him again. Curiousness filled her, what was he doing here? Perhaps he was seeking after some peace just like her.

The trail that he had taken felt like a neverending maze. It was so easy to loose your way in the depths of this forest. Ryder swiftly darted past Kawena. He stretched his wings before he completly had balance upon his shoulder. Nicholai stopped in his tracks. He heard the clicking of hooves near closer then slowly turned. His grey eyes trailed from the horse's feet to the familiar face. He was taken aback at the very sight of her. Nicholai glanced at the crow, raising his eyebrow.
The crow lifted his beak, signaling him to speak to the beautiful woman. Nicholai lightly smiled.
"It seems even time couldn't keep us apart." he playfully said.
He didn't realize that it almost sounded as if he was flirting. As Nicholai motioned closer, the horse made a strong heavily neigh sound. "Eaaasy." he said raising his palm. Nicholai stood still in an attempt to make peace with it.
With each violent stomp, the horse would move closer to stand his ground. Nicholai tried to back away but it was too late as the horse pushed its elbows into his chest. He slid backwards, landing on his back. Ryder flew off his shoulder in time and landed by the wolf. The bird couldn't help but to silently giggle.
His facial features reacted with the sharp pain. When he slowly opened his eyes, his gaze met Kawena's.

Kawena could feel her smile grew when she got closer to him but she did not know completely why. She gave him a small wave while her curiousness grew but for now she was able to keep it at bay. Shyness and curiousness was sometimes a interesting mix.
"It seems even time couldn't keep us apart."
Kawena felt her cheeks grow hot for a moment and tried to hide it behind her hair but it was a little difficult because of the helmet she was wearing. was he flirting with her? She took a deep breath before she calmed down her childish thoughts. Why would he flirt with her, there was many women in the world that was more beautiful than her and that would be a better match to him that she ever would. She was about to answer when Stormy acted in a unnatural way. She tried to stop hi but was not able to take control until he had knocked Nicholai on the ground and he was now lying there knocked unconscious.
"Easy boy! Calm down!"
She jumped down from his back and used plant manipulation to tie him to one of the closest trees and in the same time make sure Stormy would not run off or attack him again. She took her helmet off before she got on her knees in front of him. She tried to remember what to do and in the same time keep the tears from starting to run down her face. he would hate her now, she just knew it.
Calm it. The last thing you need know is to turn into a child. You know what to do. Get started with it!
Kawena was about to start healing him when he opened his eyes and looked on her. She just looked at him for a moment without saying or doing anything, it was like she was frozen to the ground.
"How are you doing? Are you hurt anywhere? Can I help you with something?"
She talked extremely fast and had no idea if he was able to understand anything she was saying. She stared down on her hands for a little minute before she looked at him again.
"I apologize when it comes to Stormy. Usually he does not act like this."
She pointed on the horse that was looking on them before he turned his attention to the grass on the ground. One thing was sure, he was not regretting what he just had done and no one should tell her that he did not know what he was doing.
Kawena took a deep breath it would not hurt to ask.
"One of my natural powers is healing. If you don't mind I can try to heal you. it is my fault that you got hurt, it's the last thing I can do."
Konane looked from the humans and down to Ryder, he had heard him giggling and he had to admit that this situation was a little funny. He looked down on him again, was he up to something? He moved closer to Ryder, it would not hurt to try to find out what it was. if it was something fun he wanted to be a part of it.
"I know what you are trying to do. Can I be a part off it?"
He was lovering his voice making sure that Kawena did not hear what he was saying. He had seen how she had blushed when Nicholai had talked to her and he knew that she liked him even though she did not knew it herself and the only thing he wished for her was her to be happy.

"How are you doing? Are you hurt anywhere? Can I help you with something?"
Through Nicholai's point of view, everything felt like it was spinning until he managed to focus on Kawena. He was feeling a headache coming on as he rose his upper body. Nicholai lifted his hand, placing it behind his head, in an attempt to rub the pain away. He had a high tolerance for pain, and this was nothing compared to the countless times he's had bullet wounds pierce through his body. The fact that he could heal himself at will was a secret he wasn't ready to share yet. Nicholai looked concerned, noticing that she was trying to keep it together for him. He wasn't used to anyone fussing over him, or caring as much as she did.
"I know what you are trying to do. Can I be a part off it?"
Ryder turned his head in Konane's direction. He listened while drifting his gaze elsewhere. "Mmm, ok. Follow my lead." he replied. Ryder moved his tiny legs quickly to a closer spot, so he could eavesdrop. "For now, we'll deal with our own companions." he said in a low voice.
"I apologize when it comes to Stormy. Usually he does not act like this."
Nicholai's expression looked uneasy from the mention of the horse. He should of known better with a name like that.
"One of my natural powers is healing. If you don't mind I can try to heal you. it is my fault that you got hurt, it's the last thing I can do."
Nicholai wanted to reassure her, but before he could reply Ryder flew on top of his chest. He fell against his back, while his face lifted with confusion. Nicholai tried to push the bird off, but ended up getting pecked. His hand reacted by pulling back. "The man clearly has hit his head too hard." the guardian spoke. The crow knew that Nicholai needed to accept, not only to keep his secret but to also give the opportunity for them to bond. Ryder turned to him then leaned closer, "Let the lovely lady help." he whispered.
"Ever heard of what happens to a crow when they interrupt? They're beaks get snapped shut....if your not careful, you could be next." he replied.
The bird glanced at Kawena then hoped off. Nicholai lightly smiled, ignoring the slight embarrassment he felt. He nodded then carefully got on his feet. The real pain came from his back, realizing that he'd end up with a huge bruise. Nicholai felt the side of his face sting. The temple area got scraped as blood slowly seeped down his face. He saw a nearby bench then motioned for her to follow. Nicholai thought it'd be easier for her to heal him if he wasn't standing. He stretched out his arm, letting her sit first before he did the same.
His eyes softened as he stared at her. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked. Nicholai felt unsure, but didn't want to come off as being ungrateful either. It was her decision, so he left it at that.

Kawena was a little unsure about what to do when Ryder landed on Nicholas chest and made the decision for her. Konane had told her about the ravens name after they met each other for the first time in her tavern. Even though the situation was not the best she was happy that she had met him again.
"Mmm, ok. Follow my lead."
The wolf looked down on the raven and nodded his head. Then the raven moved foreward in a attempt to eavesdrop on what they're companions were talking about. Konane was also a little curious and melted together with the color of forest, just like a chameleon, perhaps not as good as them but it would help him to get closer without them seeing him as long as he did not steed on a small branch or something like that.
"For now, we'll deal with our own companions."
"Sounds good to me."
He looked on when Ryder flew out of they're hiding spot and he almost started to laugh when he heard what the raven was saying, one thing was sure. He did know what he was doing. Konane kept hiding for a little while longer before he turned back to his normal color, made some noises and walked foreward with leaves and other debris in his fur. This way either Kawena or Nicholai would understand what they're Guardians were trying to do, hopefully. He let out a low bark and wagged his tail like he always did after a run before he sat down and tilted his head looking on them awaiting the next move.
Kawena looked at Nicholai when he got up on his feet, she was on her way to help him but was unsure of how he would react so she let him do it on his own, It would have been something else if he felt dizzy or had problems standing on his feet, her eyes looked after wounds but the only one she could see was with the temple area, it did not look deep so it would be easy to fix it. Thoughts filled her mind, most likely his back was hurting to and perhaps other places that was hidden under clothes. She sat down on the bench when he made the gesture and studied him while he sat down to make a picture in her mind of where it was most important to put her hands to heal him.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
She looked at him and smiled.
"Yes I am. The wound in our head a small and perhaps I can relive you of some of the pain in your back and other places where it hurts.Just tell me if it hurts to much and I will stop."
Kawena took a couple of deep breaths to help her calm down and put her palm against his back and put a couple of fingers on is wound in the head, that one was the most important to fix but she could easily take both in one go since it were no serious wounds to take care off. She concentrated and felt how the energy moved through her hands and into his body. How long she did it she was not sure but after awhile she removed her hands, she had no idea how much energy she had used on this but there was no time to worry about that.
The wound in his head was closed but he had still blood on his face. She lifted up her sweater a little, revealing the shirt she was wearing underneath. If he walked somewhere with blood on his face people would start wonder about what had happened. She teared of a piece and looked after something she could use as fluid. Spit she would use as a last resort, her eyes fell on a little patch of snow that was lying on the ground and took a little of it in her hand before she sat up and let her hands turn it into water she could use. Gently she started to wash off the blood, hoping he would not mind her doing it.
Suddenly she felt dizzy and put her hand against her forehead in a attempt to force it away. It was several years since she healed someone but she was not sure if that was the reason or not.
Are you alright?
Konane's voice entered her mind and she looked down seeing him standing with his head in her lap looking up on her.
I'm fine. Just a little dizzy. Nothing to worry about.
Most likely it was just her that was low on energy from the beginning of at least that was what she hoped. At least she was not that dizzy that the whole world was spinning around her head but why was is so dark suddenly? The world got silent around her and the darkness surrounded her.

Out of the corner of his eye, he watched her gently place her fingers on his face. The soft touch caused him to become less tense. Nicholai felt a tingling sensation flow into his body, starting from his back. He slowly breathed out, letting his head tilt forward. Nicholai closed his eyes as he became in tune with his own energies. It was faint, yet he felt it grow through her healing. After awhile, the pain started to lift. When she removed her hands, Nicholai met her gaze. His eyes trailed towards the sleeve of her sweater, uncertain of what she was about to do.
Nicholai watched her as she washed off the blood. Inside, he was torn to allow himself to feel. He frowned when he saw her body language. He reacted by delicately placing his hands on her shoulder blades to keep herself steady. Nicholai knelt beside her but once he let go, she fell right into his arms. He stared down at the unconscious woman as guilt started to set in. Nicholai placed his arm underneath her legs, while the other around her waist as he scooped her up. Her face rested near his neck.
He made his way to a secluded area with enough space to use the ability. Nicholai cleared his mind before he felt his feet float into the air. Ryder flew above the city to manipulate the flow of time as lights darted past each other. A perfect way to shield his charge from exposure. He let himself be carried by the air currents to gain speed. Nicholai landed safely through the open windows upon his loft. The crow followed suit as he walked into the living room. Nicholai set Kawena onto the cushioned couch then used his wand to start a warm fire.
He swept the strands of hair from her face as he leaned in to check her temperature. Nicholai was relieved that she wasn't running a fever. He took off his coat to let her use as a blanket. "Keep a close eye on her Ryder." he said, moving towards the kitchen. Nicholai opened the cabinet to grab the tea kettle then filled it with water. He put it on the stove, turning the knob to high. Nicholai reached for the camoille, setting it down on the counter. He watched from afar with almost a sadness in his eyes. How could I have let this happen... he thought.

Kawena was trapped in the darkness before sounds and smells slowly was able to penetrate it and bringing her back. Her eyelids fluttered open, everything was foggy for a second before she was able to see where she was. Where was she? And what was she covered with? A coat? The last thing she remembered was being out in the forest with Nicholai, Ryder and that stupid horse but right now she was in a apartment? Thoughts filled her head, everything from what had happened to where she was now. One thing was sure, she had to sneak out of here somehow and she could forget using any magic yet.
Here we go then.
She was on her way to get up when a familiar face planted two paws on her chest and pushed her down again.
"You don't even dare to move yet."
Kawnea looked up at Konane, surprise showed in her eyes before it turned into determination.
"I don't know where I am. We have to get out of here."
She whispered, if she could avoid trouble she would, and lying on a couch in a strangers hoe was not something that was high on her list.Kawena tried to get up again but got pushed down this time to but this time he jumped on top off her and both of them knew that it would be impossible to move anywhere.
"When you wont listen to me I have to do mine to make sure you stay put. By the way we are in Nicholas home and it would be rather rude of you to run out the door without even thank him for taking care of you after you passed out. And we both now that you would not be able to walk many steps right now anyway so why don't you just make it easy for both off us."
Kawena looked at him, she knew all to well that it was impossible to talk sense into him so instead she shut her mouth shut and closed her eyes. His words filled her and she knew that he was right and now she felt bad about fainting and scaring him and Nicholas, there had to be a reason he had brought her here right?
"What about that stupid horse. You did not eat him did you?"
She meant it more like a joke, just to get herself out of the seriousness she had gotten herself into.
"No I did not but don't worry about it, he has been taken care off."
It was almost as she could see him smiling and before she knew it he had licked her cheek and she was sure that he was grinning right now.
"Get off me will you? You are rather heavy you know."
Konane looked at her just to make sure that she would not try to do anything stupid before he jumped down. Kawena felt better when she was able to turn over in a more comfortable position.
"Where is he?"
She felt she owned him a apology and the faster she was able to do it the better.

Nicholai turned with his arms crossed, leaning against the counter's edge, as he heard the water boiling. While they had their conversation, Ryder quietly made his way to his charge. The crow didn't need to say a word for Nicholai to understand what was going on around him.
The side of his lip shot at the sound of "quiet debating" between his guests. When the argument intensified, the steam from the kettle whistled. He gripped it from the stove and poured the hot water into the cup. Nicholai dangled the tea pouch into the liquid. The color soon blended. After he prepared everything, he took the tray into the living room.
He could only assume that a women such as herself would not be too comfortable with being in a strangers home. After what had happened, he couldn't blame her. If it had been anyone else, under different circumstances, Nicholai wouldn't go so far as to let someone recover in his own place. He was forever grateful for what she had done, which showed a lot of character. Maybe someday he'd be able to do the same for her. Nicholai set the tray onto the small glass table then placed the cup on her side. He stepped back until he took a seat in a nearby chair.
"Do you remember what happened?" he asked.
Nicholai was more than willing to fill in the gaps for her. Ryder wiggled his tiny legs over to Konane, which he thought would be a good time to play with his new friend. The crow pushed a tiny crochet ball with his beak and rolled between the two guardians. They could play their version of soccer (football, since their in England) by using the space and furniture. His eyes lit at the sight of Ryder coming out of his shell. Nicholai felt a sharp pain above his stomach, but didn't let it show through his expression. He lightly smiled as he waited for a reply.

Kawena smiled and sat up when she saw Nicholai walked up to hear with a tray in her hands and a little nervous smile filled her face. What should she say? Of course she would thank him but what else? There had to be more she could talk about, she tried to calm down her thought when Nicholas interrupted it by putting a cup of tea down beside her
"Thank you."
She smiled again and picked up a sthingy from the tray before she lifted the pouch out of the cup and used the sthingy to press out the last liquid before she put it down on the tray again. She had registered that her hands was slightly shaking but she tried not to think to much about it. The taste of camoille filled her mouth when she took a sip. It was not like the homemade tea she had at home but it tasted good. Kawena put the cup down and looked at Nicholai, why was she so nervous suddenly? It was strange to be in his home yes but in the same time she was grateful for what he had done, he could have left her in the forest but he had not and he seemed like a man that had his decency intact, something that was rare these days.
"It's a nice place you have."
The little she had seen off it was not that bad, he was a bachelor and his place told her that but her own house was not better after all. Most off the house was filled with books and the whole house lacked any sort of system, she did have her own but it could be hard to see for others, it was not like she had to many visitors in her house anyway, she was a witch after all. Ok, relax and don't make a complete fool out of yourself. Show that you still have some class.
"Do you remember what happened?"
Kawena met his gaze while she tried to remember more about what had happened.
"I remember trying to heal you and removing the blood from your face. And I do remember that stupid stallion.."
She could feel how her face got warmer and studied her hands for a moment before she looked up again.
"But I don't remember anything after that so I guess I fainted right after. If you don't mind me asking, how did we get here?"
Then she realized that she still had his coat wrapped around her. She silently hoped it was not filled with horse hair by now and hopefully it didn't smelled like horse off it and even if a part of her just wanted to keep it for a little while longer, it was something with the smell from it that was soothing she took it off.
"I guess you want this back."
Her eyes fell on Ryder when he found a small ball and rolled it towards Konane that soon was in on the game, it was easy to see on his ears and on his tail and she hoped he would not break anything. it was fun to see them play and she looked at Nicholai for a moment, a smile filled her face when she saw how his eyes lit up by the two of them.
Konane wagged his tail and kept his eyes on the ball before he put his snout to the ground and gave the ball a push. Ryder was really good at it even though Konane had the most advantages, except the size sometimes but he did not care if he crashed into some furnitures, football was way to much fun to care about if he destroyed something, he knew Kawena would mind it but he would think about it later if something happened, now it was playtime.
She laughed a little by the sight off them, they acted like they had known each other in several years already and if she didn't screw up they would still know each other in the future. She took another sip from her tea while she tried to find out how long it would take for her to be able to walk across the room without her feet feeling like jello. She would get back energy sooner by eating but she was not going to ask him for any food, that would be rude.
Then her eyes registered a plate of biscuits on the tray and picked up one and took a bite from it. Kawena tried to eat slowly and not dig in the whole plate, that would just be rude. She sat in silence for a while, a thought was bugging her and she really needed to know. She did not wised that his owners would tell her to never come close to them again.
"So what did happen with that horse. I mean he is not mine and I just don't want to get in a argument with his owners."
Without knowing it she had start to bit on her thumbnail, a habit that showed up when she felt unsure about something.

"It's a nice place you have."
He smiled at the complement. "Thanks, I try to make the most with what I have." he replied. It was better than sleeping on roof tops or in a graveyard, which he had to resort to when he was on the run. Strangely, graveyards were the safest place. You would think after what had happened, the man would avoid cemeteries, but it was his way of dealing with it. Nicholai wished that he'd get a glimpse of her one last time, so that he could move on.
"I remember trying to heal you and removing the blood from your face. And I do remember that stupid stallion..But I don't remember anything after that so I guess I fainted right after. If you don't mind me asking, how did we get here?"
Ryder perked his head up at the question then paused for a second during their game. "Let's just say he swept you off your feet." Nicholai laughed, "I did no such thing, and what he means is that I have the power of Flight." he admitted. He slightly narrowed his eyes at the crow then softened at the sight of Kawena.
"I guess you want this back."
Nicholai tilted his head with a confused expression. His eyes trailed down in thought before he answered.
"Keep it." Nicholai's tone was gentle and sincere. He noticed her take a bite of the biscuits on the tray and lightly smiled. From experience, Nicholai knew that she would be hungry. By placing everything on the tray, it was a subtle way to give his guests the option to take whatever they pleased.
"So what did happen with that horse. I mean he is not mine and I just don't want to get in a argument with his owners."
His eyebrows raised at the question as he rubbed his temple. Ryder flew on Kawena's side of the couch. "Ah yes, well he was quite an Arse.. but none the less, Nicholai used his quick wit to convince them otherwise. You can take my word for it, He was brilliant."
Nicholai shook his head, trying hard to hold back a nervous laugh. In all the time he knew his guardian, Ryder still managed to pull out a few surprises. He desperately attempted to change the subject. "It's getting late, I should get you back home."
He stood in front of her, reaching out both his palms. Nicholai had to make sure she could properly get on her feet. He wrapped his coat around her while he stared into her eyes. "It'll be chilly on the ride home." he hinted. Nicholai locked up his appartment then led the way to his motorcycle. "I hope your not afraid to sit on one of these." he said patting the seat. Nicholai straightened up, letting Kawena take a seat first before getting on himself.
He grabbed the handles, then felt arms wrap around him. Nicholai loosened up his body before zooming out into the street.

"Ah yes, well he was quite an Arse.. but none the less, Nicholai used his quick wit to convince them otherwise. You can take my word for it, He was brilliant."
Kawena could not help but smile when she heard what Ryder said but when she saw Nicolai's reaction she decided that she would not ask to many questions about it. Instead she took another biscuit and tried to pretend she had no interest to know more about the matter. The truth was that she was beginning to get tired and her head was tarting to get heavy but she wished to sleep at her own place, even tough he was nice and she had started to get a liking towards him it would still be to awkward to sleep over.
"It's getting late, I should get you back home."
That saved her and she was about to get up on her own when he suddenly stood in front off her reaching out both his hands, she could feel her heartbeat increasing when she took his hands and let him help her up. His hands were warm and surprisingly soft, she could feel how her cheeks started to burn and she tried to keep herself calm and not make a bigger fool of herself than she already had. When her eyes locked with his it was like she got a weird but in the same time good feeling in her stomach and she let him wrap his coat around her without saying anything, Instead she just nodded her head and followed after him when he left his apartment and walked to where a motorcycle was standing.
"I hope your not afraid to sit on one of these."
A twinkle showed in her eyes for a second when she took a closer look at the motorcycle. She was not afraid, it was just a good kept secret that she loved to ride, she had done it a couple of times on her different travels and the funniest time had been when they had driven in the desert in Egypt. that was just something put of the ordinary but she was not going to complain about this at all, this was also something out of the ordinary in it's own way. Kawena got on and wrapped her arms around Nicholai when he got on and soon they was zooming down the street, The wind played with her hair and she could feel a almost childish happiness filling her before she straightened up a little so she was able to tell him where to turn to get to her house.
It was almost as the time had gone to fast and soon she saw it, a old Victorian house, not one of the biggest one but it fit her and her stuff perfectly and there were still some space left for future treasures she brought in. In daylight you would see plants covering most of the wall on the front of the house but also the garden she had put much time and love in, the day she had bought it she were warned that there were ghost in the house but she could not ever remember to have experienced anything so either was it just a rumor to perhaps the other ones that resided there liked her so well that the let her be.
Kawena sighed, It would be good to get inside and in bed but in the same time she was said that the trip was over already. She looked up on the house and saw Snowball, her Silver Tabby sitting in one of the windows looking at them before he lost interest in them and jumped down and disappeared out of sight. Even tough he was a Fairy cat he still acted like a regular cat but she liked him anyway.
"I guess this is where our roads part, for now."
She did not expect him to follow her to the door or anything like that, he had to be tired himself and she would not keep him outside longer than necessarily.

Kawena's soft touch made him feel a rush of excitement. His Grey eyes trailed beneath the helmet as neon lights flowed in its mirrored reflection. A soft mist shielded the guardian in the skies. It was a magical moment that was almost too familiar. The thought of history repeating itself made the man hesitant. Even if they were friends, he wanted to do whatever it took to keep her safe. One day she might figure out the truth, but would it keep her alive? Nicholai knew that if this was fate, then there was no way he could stay away forever.
He nodded at her gentle voice and maneuvered the bike in reaction to her gestures. The Ex-Coven member spotted an elegant Victorian house up the street. Vines wrapped around the building, creating the illusion that it might be haunted. The sight of them made him cringe a bit, and ghosts would be the least of his problems. A lantern lit the corner of the approaching curb. The man parked his motorcycle behind the mailbox before lifting out his palm for the woman to grasp. When she landed on her feet, he slid off his helmet. His expression softened as he briefly studied Kawena. "I guess this is where our roads part, for now."
"Call me old fashion, but I actually like to walk a lady to the door." he grinned.
Nicholai motioned out from the seat then moved around to Kawena. He quietly accompanied her to the porch, keeping a comfortable distance between the two. His head lowered at the awkwardness that they shared in silence. The man didn't intend to keep her from getting some rest, though he needed to say a few parting words before leaving. "As unpredictable as the day was...I would do it all again.. just to be with you." he gently spoke. It was his way of letting her know that there was no harm to what happened.
A feathery mass swooped onto his shoulder, leaping to hers. Ryder snuggled near her neck, "Konane and I haven't finished playing. Can we stay, pleeassee?"
"It's not polite to intrude on others." he said shaking his head. The crow blinked, unaware his baby face and cuteness. Sometimes it was hard to actually get upset at the bird. His intentions were always from the heart. Nicholai sighed as he calmly stood there. The guardian tilted his face to look up at the woman, "I promise to behave." At that moment, he tried hard to suppress a laugh.

Kawena nodded her head and smiled when he said that he wanted to walk her up to the door and walked beside him in silence while her mind tried to think out something clever to say to break the silence between them but instead it was like her tongue had disappeared and she looked on him a little before she returned her eyes to what was in front of her. If there just was something she could do to make this moment last longer?
"As unpredictable as the day was...I would do it all again.. just to be with you."
Kawena could feel her cheeks getting warmer but this time she did not care much about it and before she knew it she had kissed him on the cheek and then she stood there looking up on him and even if her heart was racing in her chest she felt strangely calm in the same time and she had a feeling that it was Nicholai himself that made her feel this way.
"Even if it could have been better I would have done the same just to be with you."
What was she saying? Was this really her? Normally she would have been shy right now and not able to say one word at all, perhaps there still was some hope for her after all. He was only a friend of course, anything else would just be a silly thought and childish fantasy.
"Konane and I haven't finished playing. Can we stay, pleeassee?"
Kawena laughed a little and stroke a finger over his head. Before she was able to say anything Konane stood in front of them.
"Can they stay? Pretty please?"
He did his best and gave her the puppy dog eyes. He knew she had a hard time resist that and he also tried to seem as charming and cute as possible. This had to work, he knew she wanted to have him around even if she did not know it then and there.
"It's fine with me."
Kawena laughed a little, yes she was a little tired but she was not able to resist the two Guardians pleads and it could be nice to have him around just for a little while longer. Then she felt a drop on her nose and it were soon followed by more, typical charming English weather. She loved rain.
"You can stay if you want. It's late and soon the roads are wet, not safe to drive in conditions like that."
Kawena looked up on him and smiled and really hoped he would say yes. She still had some food from earlier that way and it would be nice for once to eat together with someone. Then a thought his her, he did not know anything about her "guards." Her eyes rested on the plants that covered the front of the house. Few would ever see them move like this, only the ones that visited her and that were able to look trough the protective magic that she had casted to protect herself from to curious eyes and of course the ones that tried to break in.
"I guess I have to tell you this and try to prepare you a little. I used my ability to make them come alive in a way, like this."
She reached out her hand and one of the vines stretched out and touched her palm gently before it returned back to the wall.
"It's not dangerous and no poisonous plants on this side of the house and this is the only plants that acts like this."
She had a feeling she could have given a better explanation but the rain had started to pour down and they would get soaked if she gave a detailed explanation. Instead she reached out her hand for him to take before she reached put her other hand and whispered something. A small movement happened in between the vines before one of them came out with her keys and placed it in her hand.
"Don't worry about your motorcycle by the way. The plants can put it into the garage, if you not prefer it any other way of course."
It would not be complicated for her to make them do that but she was afraid that if she did she would step over a boundary and perhaps he was not to happy about plants living more or less on they're own either.
